S.P.Korlev RSC Energia held training sessions under the training program for the backup crew of Expedition 17 to the International Space Station (ISS-17).
Supervised by Corporation specialists, cosmonauts Oleg Skripochka (RSC Energia) and Maxim Suraev (Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center) familiarized themselves with the design and layout of Progress M cargo transportation spacecraft in the assembly shop of the RSC Energia manufacturing plant. They also had training sessions on the on-board simulators, video and photographic equipment, procedures for monitoring the condition of windows in the ISS Russian Segment.
