The task of Sirius is to find the most successful schoolchildren in the regions of Russia, develop and support them, consolidate and propagate the best work practices for gifted persons. Six hundred schoolchildren are enrolled every month to the professional programs - 200 in each area (science, sports and art). Young musicians, artists, ballet dancers, mathematicians, physicists, chemists, biologists, hockey players, figure skaters and chess players study and live together, that gives them a unique experience in interdisciplinary and creative communication. Classes, accommodation and travel to Sirius for children are free. The session duration is 24 days. The session includes both classes in a special field and enhanced training in one’s own area, master classes and creative meetings, and leisure activities. The lessons are given on the basis of the infrastructure that was used during the Winter Olympic Games in 2014.
