RSC Energia will analyze the results of the LUNA-2015 experiment

RSC Energia specialists will closely study the results of the LUNA-2015 experiment which is being conducted at the Institute for Biomedical Problems (IBMP) of the Russian Academy of Sciences and, possibly, will take them into account when developing the hardware to support a manned mission to the Moon.

"Our specialists will conduct a detailed analysis of all the data obtained in the LUNA-2015 experiment. We hope that this will help us improve the characteristics of the habitable environment inside the hardware which is being developed to deliver man to the Moon, as well as thoroughly work out the issues of medical and biological support for the missions", - said the head of the flight testing department of RSC Energia cosmonaut tester Mark Serov.

He added that it is a question of improving ergonomic properties of the spacecraft from the standpoint of biomedical and psychological support in long-duration space missions, which are a real trial for human body.

The eight-day isolation mission LUNA-2015 with a female crew started on October 28 at IBMP. The scientific program consists of about 30 experiments the objectives of which are to obtain scientific inputs for work on the ergonomics of the future spacecraft. ROSCOSMOS will provide the obtained results to RSC Energia.
