Expedition 12 (ISS-12)
MAIN TASKS OF THE EXPEDITION
- Launch of two ISS-12 crewmembers and one participant of the visiting crew (VC-9) by transport manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-7 in flight 11S;
- Docking of Soyuz TMA-7 spacecraft to the Docking Compartment (DC1);
- Operational support for undocking of Soyuz TMA-6 from FGB;
- Relocation of Soyuz TMA-7 spacecraft from DC1 to FGB;
- Loading and undocking of Progress M-54;
- Operational support for docking and unloading of Progress M-55;
- Performance of extravehicular activity: i.e. one US egress (EVA) on the ISS USOS and one Russian egress (EVA) on the ISS RS;
- Support of the Space Station functionality;
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiment,
as well as contract-based commercial activities;
- Implementation of Gregory Olsen’s utilization program onboard the ISS, as well as ESA life science experiments during VC-9;
- Crew handover to
Increment ISS-13 and return of ISS-12 crewmembers on
Soyuz TMA-7.
